Golf is back at the Summer Games! Have you enjoyed watching the men and women play? In today’s blog, Dr. Byron Rosenstein, an orthopaedic surgeon at Resurgens Orthopaedics and an avid golfer who has played at courses all over the world, shares some golf tips.
- Golf is not typically thought of as causing a lot of injuries
- Overuse Injuries – most golf injuries are overuse injuries (but keep your feet and arms in the cart while riding!). Overuse injuries can include:
- Tendinitis of the elbow
- Rotator Tendinitis
- Wrist tendinitis
- Prevention – warm-up and stretch before playing your round of golf.
