More than 54 million Americans - including 300,000 children - live with the debilitating pain and daily challenges of arthritis. For the virtual Walk this year, the Arthritis Foundation's national goal is for participants to walk 54 million steps to fight arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation is encouraging participants to give 54 dollars, tell 54 people about arthritis and move 54 steps, minutes or miles - and share it all on social media.
"It is an honor to be recognized by the Arthritis Foundation, an organization that I admire for their commitment to education, research and to making the lives of millions of people better through their important work," said Dr. Levine.
"Arthritis affects more than 1.9 million adults in the state of Georgia," said Carrie Mapp, Arthritis Foundation Associate Director, Georgia. "We are grateful for the long-term partnership with Resurgens Orthopaedics in the fight against arthritis. Their support enables us to double-down on our proven strategies to change the future of arthritis, America's #1 cause of disability."
