Fractures of the Greater Tuberosity

This condition is a fracture of the bony bump that is located opposite of the head of the humerus. This type of shoulder fracture can interfere with the rotator cuff.

Greater tuberosity fractures are one of several types of shoulder fractures. Other common shoulder fractures include fractures of the shoulder blade (scapula), proximal humerus fracture, fracture of the collarbone (clavicle) and fracture of the shoulder socket (glenoid fracture).
