Midfoot Fusion

Midfoot fusion is a foot and ankle procedure that joins two or more of the bones in the middle of the foot to relieve pain and restore stability. It is often used to treat arthritis of the midfoot or instability and deformity following a Lisfranc (midfoot fracture dislocation) injury. During the procedure, the surgeon realigns the affected joints and secures the bones with plates or screws so they heal into a single, stable unit.
