Shockwave Therapy

A new path to pain relief.

Radial Pressure Wave (RPW) therapy uses acoustic pressure waves to reduce muscle pain, improve blood flow, and activate connective tissue — all without surgery or medication. Now available at select Resurgens Rehab locations as a complement to your physical therapy.

Relief for a wide range of conditions

Shockwave therapy targets many of the musculoskeletal conditions treated in physical therapy, making it a natural add-on to your existing care plan.

Radial Pressure Wave (RPW) therapy can help:

  • Shoulder pain
  • Elbow pain
  • Trapezius muscle
  • Knee pain
  • Achilles tendon
  • Plantar fasciitis

Benefits of RPW Therapy

Each RPW session takes about 10 minutes, and most patients begin to see results within just a few treatments: no surgery, no injections, and no medication required. The therapy is also highly versatile. Whether you're dealing with a stubborn tendon injury or widespread muscle tightness, RPW therapy is designed to meet you where you are and to work alongside the physical therapy you're already doing to help you recover faster.

How It Works

1. Talk to your physical therapist

Your PT will assess whether RPW therapy is a good fit for your condition and treatment goals.

2. Add a shockwave package

Purchase an RPW package as an add-on to your existing physical therapy plan at any participating location.

3. Begin your sessions

Each session lasts about 10 minutes and most patients complete 4-6 sessions. Your therapist will adjust the plan based on how you respond.
