About

Dr. Gillig and his wife are proud natives of the Atlanta area, having been raised in Alpharetta. Their deep connection to the community makes it especially meaningful for him to care for families he has known since childhood. They appreciate the Atlanta metro area's diverse offerings and its convenient access to both mountains and beaches, enriching their weekends with varied activities.

At Resurgens, Dr. Gillig is committed to improving access to superior orthopedic care while staying at the forefront of technological advancements. His goal is to ensure patients have access to the highest quality care right in their own community.

Outside of Work

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Gillig cherishes the time he gets to spend with his family. This includes his wife and their two young children. Outside the clinic, Dr. Gillig also takes great pleasure in working on home improvement projects around the house and tending to his garden. He is an avid fan of both Braves baseball and Notre Dame football, making sure to follow along with the latest games and happenings from these teams he is passionate about.

After struggling with severe hip pain and mobility issues due to osteonecrosis, I underwent total hip replacement (THR) with Dr. Gillig. From the very first consultation through surgery and recovery, his approach was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. Dr. Gillig took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely confident going into surgery.
