My philosophy of care is patient-centered. I find it extremely important to develop relationships with patients to determine what their goals and desires and I enjoy crafting treatment plans for them that allow them to reach these goals.

About

Dr. Jason Brustein is an orthopedic surgeon dedicated to serving the communities of College Park, McDonough, and Griffin, Georgia. Dr. Brustein loves South Atlanta: the small-town feel of the area combined with the benefits of having a major city nearby is a dream come true. The friendliness and warmth of the people in the community, in addition to the community's exponential growth and thriving industry, makes it a wonderful place to practice orthopedics. Dr. Brustein is a strong believer in serving his community, and has been involved in education training local orthopedic surgery residents, through volunteer work at the Healing Bridge Clinic in Fayette County in addition to other community involvement.

Growing up with a radiologist father and a passion for construction and tools, Dr. Brustein found his calling in orthopedics, where he can solve problems and improve patients' quality of life. Specializing in joint replacement, Dr. Brustein takes great pride in restoring mobility to those with joint conditions, and he deeply values the strong, gratitude-filled relationships he builds with his patients.

At Resurgens, Dr. Brustein believes in a collaborative approach to treatment. He sees treatment decision-making as a shared process between physician and patient. He and his team are committed to being available for questions, giving patients the time they need without rushing, and ensuring every visit is productive with a clear understanding of the discussion and treatment plan. His dedicated staff, many of whom have been with him from the start, ensure well-coordinated care and efficient communication in his office. Dr. Brustein is proud to be known for his excellent standards of patient care and active community involvement. He is always striving to make a positive impact both in and out of the clinic.

Outside of Work

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Brustein enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in various hobbies. He's a proud dad of two young boys, a baby girl, and a dog named Jack. He also enjoys golfing, visiting great restaurants, and traveling whenever he gets the opportunity.

I felt very comfortable with Dr Brustein before during and after my surgery. He’s very easy to talk with and felt he listened to my concerns. I’m very impressed with him and his commitment to his work.

Dr. Brustein really impressed me during my visit with him. I had a deep laceration on my right hand that was previously stitched up by another practitioner at an Urgent Care facility. The stitches were removed but the cut had not healed and was still partially open. I immediately made an appointment to see Dr. Brustein who examined the cut and was honest and thorough in his evaluation. He said the cut needed to be debrided and resutured correctly and that his schedule was packed out for the next three weeks. I shared my many concerns with him and asked several questions which he took the time to answer without rushing through the exam. It was clear that leaving this deep laceration partially open for any length of time was not a good option for me so he took a picture of my hand, briefly left the room and called a hand surgeon who is part of the practice. He arranged for me to get the cut treated promptly and properly. I am a healthcare practitioner that commonly goes to these lengths to help my patients but have rarely had this level of care personally. I not only appreciate his willingness to do this for me, I honestly respect him for it. It's not always about making money, it's about helping people and Dr. Brustein really helped me that day.

I had a total right hip replacement on 12/18/25. Dr. Brustein was AWESOME!! He walked me through everything that was going to happen and after surgery care. I was walking on my own within 3 days of the surgery!! Went for my follow up today and things couldn’t be better. I 100000% recommend Dr. Brustein. If I ever need anything again, I just hope he can be my surgeon!!

The staff are very friendly and professional. They are very efficient in taking care of you as the patient and your needs. I haven’t had long periods of time sitting and waiting to be seen. Dr Brustein is very nice and always explains what’s going on in ways that I can understand. He always makes sure that all and any procedures are the very best for his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone

The staff are friendly, the nurses and doctors take the time to ask question and really find out what is going on before making a diagnosis. Then they take the time to explain that diagnosis or reason for further testing. I felt truly cared for and definitely recommend this Wonderful team.
