MRI Imaging
Imaging is a critical tool for the proper diagnosis of orthopaedic problems and Resurgens is proud to be able to offer state of the art radiology imaging in all Resurgens offices. X-rays are performed by State of Georgia certified technologists who have had extensive training in imaging techniques.
For advanced imaging, Resurgens has eight MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Centers located in Austell, Chastain, Covington, Crawford Long, Lawrenceville, Morrow, Roswell, and St. Joseph's offices.
To better serve our patients Resurgens now offers both closed and open magnets. Board Certified Radiologists review the scans as the study is being conducted through teleradiology, which allows the radiologists to view the actual scans through their reading stations. If extra sequences need to be performed that can better visualize pathology, the extra scanning can be done at that time. Patient comfort is of utmost importance to Resurgens' staff and we have MRI audio/video headsets that virtually eliminate any claustrophobic sensation. All MRI technologists are board registered R.T. (registered technologist) who have been specially trained in MR imaging.
