Dr. Douglas W. Lundy Selected for
Prestigious Leadership Training Program
Resurgens Orthopaedics surgeon Douglas W. Lundy, MD, FACS was recently selected to the 2010 class of Leadership Atlanta.
"I am honored to be selected by Leadership Atlanta, and I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about our city and identify service opportunities in our metro Atlanta community," Dr. Lundy said.
Leadership Atlanta was formed by a group of concerned citizens in 1969 to address the growing need for a trained cadre of committed community leaders. It is the oldest continuously running training program of its type in the country.
The organization annually selects a class of approximately 70 participants composed of accomplished men and women whose collective background reflects the diversity of metro Atlanta. The program for the 2010 class will begin with an orientation this spring and include a fall retreat, monthly daylong sessions, and study group meetings. Graduation will be in the spring of next year.
Dr. Lundy -- an orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in trauma surgery and fracture and fracture reconstructive surgery -- practices at Resurgens patients in Marietta and Roswell. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He completed his residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta and his fellowship in orthopaedic trauma/foot and ankle at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Dr. Lundy is the Legislative Chairman for the Georgia Orthopaedic Society Board of Directors, a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association where he serves as the Georgia Delegate to the House of Representatives, and was on the 2008 Medical Association of Georgia Council on Legislation Trauma Task Force.
